Author Talk: Caroline Cocciardi, Leonardo's Knots Saturday, May 4, 11:30 AM Caroline Cocciardi, author of Leonardo's Knots, will be at the Library to share her book, which introduces us to a facet of Leonardo da Vinci that we have not seen before. The knots that appear in his famous paintings are found in the minuscule details, yet they speaks volumes about his passion for knots and mathematics.

Memoir Workshop Writing Your Memoir: Strategies & Tools with Magdalena Montagne Part 1: Saturday, May 4, 2:00 pm Part 2: Sunday, May 5, 2:00 pm In Part 1, we will explore questions such as “How can I write what I remember with love?”; “How can I fill in the gaps in my memory?”; and “How can I find my authentic voice?" In part 2, we will cover strategies for writing: Finding your pivotal events and identifying your “angle”; the importance of place; narrowing and broadening your memory’s lens; and organization and revision. Eva Schmeisser, LMFT: Parenting Strategies Workshop Thursday, May 9, 6 PM This interactive workshop with Eva Schmeisser, marriage and family therapist, will include information around different parenting strategies, children’s behaviors, and effectiveness. Parents will have opportunities to ask questions, discuss concerns regarding parenting styles/strategies, and talk about changes that may be helpful during different stages of development.

Climb aboard trucks of all shapes and sizes, meet the drivers, and learn all about these great trucks! Join the Bay Area Discovery Museum for some STEM fun!
