Adult Summer Library Program June 27 - August 9 Pick up a packet at the library during regular hours. You'll earn raffle tickets by borrowing books, movies, and music in the library or online. More tickets can be earned by completing activities. There are weekly prizes and grand prizes. For more information visit salinalibrary.org.

One-on-One Technology HelpTuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM Do you need help getting around your laptop or tablet? Would you like to set up an email account? Do you want to download an eBook? Need help searching for and applying for jobs? One-on-one technology help appointments are now available. Appointments last up to 1 hour. Registration is required. Masks are required. This program is supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Fika Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Take a cue from the Swedes and enjoy Fika at Salina Library. Make time to pause and refresh, to socialize and energize. Bring a friend or chat with someone new. Coffee and tea available for a $1 donation.

Salina Trailwalkers: Wizard of Oz Memorial Oak Grove Saturday, July 9 at 9:00 am Park at the NSCSD Junior High School lot on the right near the ball field. Look for the car with the blue flag. Bring bug spray. Walk is about 1/2 mile. Rain date is Saturday, July 23 at 9:00 am.

Fun For All Story Time Wednesdays, 11:00 AM – July 6, 13, 20, & 27 Preschoolers and early elementary aged children alike will enjoy stories, interactive rhymes and songs, and a craft, based on a different theme each week! For ages 3-7. We will be meeting outside, weather permitting. Families/groups are requested to bring a beach towel or picnic blanket if possible for a family space, and a few will be available if needed. Feel free to pick up a monthly Storytime at Home Kit for coloring pages, a craft, sticker, as well as songs and rhymes to join along with Miss Monica -- or create your own storytime -- from home! Discover the diversity of ocean life, the effects of climate change on animal ecosystems, and more through hands-on samples and live science demonstrations with a MOST Science Educator. Oceans of Possibilities: 2022 Summer Reading Program June 20 - August 7 This summer, the Salina Library offers Kids and Teens weekly opportunities to win prizes and join in fun activities as part of our Summer Reading Program: Oceans of Possibilities! Registration begins June 20th for kids in grades PK-5 and Teens in grades 6-12. Register online at http://salinalibny10.readsquared.com/ , through the ReadSquared app, or in person at our circulation desk and start reading and recording the time you spend reading each day. Stop in the library once a week with your paper or digital reading record to pick out a prize and enter to win one of our many raffle prizes! Everyone who participates at least once by August 7th will get to pick a FREE book to keep! Don’t forget to pick up one of our weekly Take-Home Craft Kits, or join in one of our weekly events—Free!
