Summer Reading Program Fizz, Boom, Read Sign ups!
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program! We are getting a jump on our summer reading this year! Everyone can sign up at their closest library on Monday, May 19th. And to make sure everyone stops by after school lets out for the summer, we are hosting special sign ups the first weekday after school lets out in each of our three counties. We start in Seminole County with our kick off day on Monday, May 19th! We follow with Decatur County on Wednesday, May 21st and round up with Miller County on Tuesday, May 27th. Each of these libraries want children to get going on their reading logs so don't wait until June! Come sign up for the Summer Reading Program, get your logs and as you leave the library get a silly tattoo, a nice beverage and popcorn! This offer is good while supplies last so hurry in!
Summer Travel Plans Be sure to include the library in your summer travel plans! We have great travel books available that help you plan wonderful trips from close to home to far far away. The travel books are found in the 900s of the non-fiction section of the library. For specific locales, ask at the desk for help. For general travel tips try How to be the world's smartest traveler (and save time, money, and hassle) by Christopher Elliot. And don't forget the free passes to get you into the Atlanta Zoo, Georgia State Parks, and the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, all available @ your library.
