The Southwest Georgia Regional Library System will be closed for the Christmas holidays on Thursday, December 24, 2015 - Saturday, December 26, 2015 . Decatur County and Seminole County will resume normal operating hours on Monday, December 28, 2015. Miller County will be closed on December 28, 2015, and will reopen on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Decatur County will close early at 6 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2015. In addition, all three libraries will be closed for New Year's Day on Friday, January 1, 2016. All libraries will also be closed on Monday, January 18, 2015 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. During that time, you can access our e-book and audiobook downloads by visiting our website at www.swgrl.org.

There will be no computer classes during the month of December. Have you been interested in learning how to use our Audiobook and E-book services, but haven't been quite sure where to start? Or have you used these services but still have questions? Catherine Vanstone will be available to answer all your questions on the following days, so bring your devices and stop by: January 7: Seminole January 11: Decatur (until 6:30) January 12: Miller There will be an Introductory Computer Class at the Decatur County - Gilbert H. Book Clubs @ Your Library

The First Tuesday Book Club at the Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library will meet December 1, 2015 at 10 a.m., and will be discussing Christmas Train by David Baldacci. There will be no book club in January. To join the First Tuesday Book Club, contact the library at 229-758-3131 for future titles and to place a hold on book club titles . The First Wednesday Book Club meets at the Seminole County Public Library on December 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. The selection for December is The Silent Wife by A. S. A. Harrison. The book for January's meeting is The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. To join the First Wednesday Book Club, contact the library at 229-524-2665.

Santa will be making an appearance at all three of our libraries on December 5, 2015. At this time, all spots are full for the Decatur County - Gilbert H. Gragg Library's Breakfast with Santa; however, there is a waiting list in the event of cancellations. You may call us at 229-248-2665 to be placed on a waiting list, or you can check out Santa at the Miller County or Seminole County libraries. The Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library still has openings for Breakfast with Santa at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. You can register by calling us at 229-758-3131. The Seminole County Public Library will be hosting Santa and Mrs. Clause between 10-11 am. Registration is not required for this library, and please note that snacks will not be provided.

Allow your creative side to come out and play with Legos at the Decatur County - Gilbert H. Gragg Library and the Seminole County Public Library every Tuesday at 4 p.m.! Puzzles and board games are also available at the Decatur County - Gilbert H. Gragg Library. Children of all ages are welcome, and parents are encouraged to join in the fun!

Check out local toddler and story times at your library! Decatur County offers Toddler Time every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in the meeting room. Miller County offers Story Time the 3rd Thursday of every month at 3:30 p.m. A perfect way to end the school day! Seminole County offers Toddler Time every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Join us for stories, songs, and activities!
