You may now start requesting items from other libraries to be picked up at our Library. Please keep in mind that all requests for items will take longer than normal due to safety and quarantine procedures in place.
We will place returned items into quarantine for 6 DAYS before we check them in and put them on our shelves. This means that the items will remain on your account until the quarantine is over. There are no overdue fines of any type being incurred at this time.
To read our full reopening statement, please visit our Library website.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact John Howard, Director, at Director@MahometPublicLibrary.org.
Good news! You can now fill out a quickform to request picture books! Pick a category from the provided list, and a staff member will choose 5 books from that category off of our shelves and place them on hold for you!
Read a good book or listen to an audiobook or podcast lately? How about watched a good movie? Have you discovered a great recipe or found a safe outside activity to do? We want to know about your great finds!
Each Thursday, we'll feature a patron's recommendation on the Library's social media accounts!
Fill out our quick form to share your recommendation.
Join Bridget Sweet, Associate Prof. of Music Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as she teaches us about basic vocal and hearing health as well as strategies for being kind to oneself as a person and musician.
Supplies and instructions will be provided for you! Pick up inside the Library or by using our pick up lockers. Call us at (217) 586-2611 with a 4-digit code, and we will place the kit in a locker for you.
