When you visit the Ocean City Free Public Library, you will notice some differences in the library appearance, in your library experience, and in our circulation policies and procedures. All of these changes have been made to protect the health and safety of our patrons and staff.

Curbside Pickup Service
The Ocean City Free Public Library is excited to offer “Curbside Pickup Service.” This service allows patrons to borrow library materials without entering the building.
Curbside service is now available Monday through Saturday from 9am - 5pm.

Kate Lutz’s Mindful Ways Workshops offer easy ways to practice meditation and experience mindfulness. Virtual Trivia Night with the Library
Are you a Jeopardy fan? Random fact enthusiast? Come test your skills with 6 rounds of virtual Trivia hosted by the Library via Zoom. Bring a team or make new friends (a maximum of 4 people per team). This trivia will be general knowledge—so anyone can be an expert!
Registration is required, so please email jhoward@oceancitylibrary.org to register. If playing with a group in your home, only one person from your team needs to register. You will be emailed login information upon registration.
Prizes will be awarded to the first place team! Spots are limited so please register ASAP.

"WHAT'S IT WORTH?" ANTIQUES ROAD SHOW: Author, Auctioneer, Appraiser, and Radio Show Host Mike Ivankovich will introduce you to “What Determines Value"…and reveal what your Antiques, Collectibles, and Personal Treasures are really worth today. During this virtual program, he will evaluate attendees' treasures, one-by-one, and will share many buying and selling tips and strategies.
If you would like to get an item appraised:
Please email Julie Howard at jhoward@oceancitylibrary.org. Spots are limited and appraisals will be done in the order of registration. Participants will be invited to show ONE item during the virtual appraisal and should have a back-up item on hand. It will take 2-3 minutes per appraisal.

Join the Ocean City Free Public Library as we celebrate the contribution of the Beatles to popular music. This virtual series will be presented by Liverpool native, Paul Groom who accompanied the rise, success and separation of the Beatles.
The Beatles story is one that becomes more stunning with the passage of time. How did four working-class boys from an unfashionable and remote part of the United Kingdom, with limited musical background, no contacts in the music world, and no financial resources come to dominate the international popular music industry?
“Harriet Tubman, Tales From The Cape” In a performance that has been called “Mesmerizing”, Michelle Washington Wilson lends us a special glimpse into the life and times of Harriet Tubman: abolitionist, Underground Railroad conductor, and women’s suffrage supporter who traveled through the State of New Jersey, and was active in the Abolitionist Movement, throughout Atlantic and Cape May Counties in NJ, and throughout the DelMarVa Peninsula. The Underground Railroad had Station Houses throughout South Jersey. Michelle Washington Wilson will take you there through the Tales From The Cape.
Functional Foods - Chocolate will increase participants’ knowledge about plant origin, historical facts, processing, and preparation of chocolate. It will create an understanding of the current research and possible health benefits of chocolate and identify the recommendations for including chocolate in a healthful plant-based diet.

The Ocean City Free Public Library is proud to welcome Carlos Pavan for a virtual concert, featuring Argentine Tango/Folklore Classical Guitar (traditional & contemporary):
Sunday, February 21st at 2pm
Argentine-born/Brooklyn (Park Slope) based concert guitarist & composer Carlos Pavan arrived in New York in 2000 to pursue musical studies with maestros Jorge Morel (classical guitar/composition), Dave Smey (Brooklyn Conservatory), and Pablo Ziegler (Astor Piazzolla's pianist).
Since then, he's performed at well-renowned venues such as Lincoln Center, New York City Center, New England Conservatory Jordan Hall (Boston), Brooklyn Borough Hall, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Center, Philadelphia Museum, Connecticut Festival Guitars of the world, Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, Hudson River Museum, New England Guitar Society, Public Libraries all around the U.S., and internationally in France, Ireland, Portugal and Japan.
His second CD, "Suite del Interior" (original compositions for guitar and string quartet) is a blend of Argentine tango/folk dances, jazz harmonies, and classical forms recorded with special guest PUBLIQuartet.
When not performing, he offers private guitar/composition lessons and is an instructor at Noel Pointer Foundation. At present, he is the composer/guitarist/artistic director of the Park Slope Chamber Players with his 3rd album of original works released by legendary Centaur Records.
