All the joy and excitement of the holidays will soon be over and the fun of spring and summer will seem so very far away. But don’t be sad! Forsyth County Public Library invites you to shake off the winter blues at our first-ever indoor Winter Family Carnival on Saturday, January 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Forsyth Conference Center, located at 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd.
Come and learn about all that the library has to offer and enjoy events for children, teens, and adults. No registration required to attend and all are welcome!

hoopla
hoopla digital provides online and mobile access to thousands of movies, TV shows, videos, music, and audiobooks. With over 150,000 titles in the database and a collection of new titles added each week, there is a wide variety of materials for patrons to access. Learn how to borrow, steam, and download content with your library card for free!
Infobase- Access Video
Stream a variety of videos using your library card, including non-fiction video clips, films, and television.
The World Cinema collection was recently added to this platform, which includes the best of the silent era, groundbreaking international directors, American and European masterpieces, and award-winning contemporary films.
Ebsco- Flipster
Flipster provides a selection of 40 popular weekly and monthly magazines for adult readers, such as Time, Money, Southern Living, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, and People. Patrons can browse and checkout magazines by visiting the library's website. There's also an excellent Flipster app that can be used for viewing the magazines.
ComicsPlus
Comics Plus offers over 5,500 comic book, manga, and graphic novels for younger readers, ages 5 to 13+, including Geronimo Stilton, Sonic the Hedgehog, Archie, Big Nate, Ninjago, Naruto, Dragon Ball, and Classics Illustrated. Patrons can check out materials from the Comics Plus collection by visiting the eLibrary at the library's website.
Storytime with Bad Kitty
Enjoy a "purr-fect" cat-themed storytime featuring a reading from a Bad Kitty eBook, a puppet show, parachute games, music, and funky feline dancing. When storytime is over, kids of all ages are invited to participate in a meet-and-greet session with Bad Kitty, our favorite naughty feline. Bring your cameras for a picture with Bad Kitty.

"What's Your Fandom?" for Teens
Are you a Harry Potter fan? What about Doctor Who? Are you Team Peeta or Team Gale?
Teens are invited to come in costume and participate in "What's Your Fandom?" We'll be awarding costume winners with iTunes gift cards and we'll also have a fandom trivia contest. Don't miss it!

The digital age has opened up a wealth of avenues for writers to publish and promote their work, from eBooks to audiobooks and everything in between. In this presentation we’ll discuss publishing in digital formats, digital book promotion, and the good (and bad) of being an author in the digital age!
