"HAM" radio is more than just a hobby. It is the ultimate off the grid means of communication. HAM radio, or amateur radio, does not rely on any other infrastructure to operate and is a critical resource in times of disaster. It can also span the other side of the spectrum and be used with cell phones and computers.
HAM is for people of all ages. A member of the Sawnee Amateur Radio Association will present this high-level discussion to help you decide if you want to pursue more education and pass the required test to be a licensed HAM radio operator.
All ages welcome! No registration required.
