The wait is over! Celebrate the Grand Reopening of the newly expanded
Sharon Forks Library on Saturday, March 24. 
 
Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

Flag Raising Ceremony by Cub Scouts Pack 205 at the front entrance

String Quintet Performance by students from the Lambert High School in the main library

Elephant and Piggie Storytime & Character Visit in the Meeting Room
Join us for a special storytime featuring our two favorite friends,
Mo Willems’ Elephant and Piggie! Don’t forget to bring your
camera for a photo with Elephant and Piggie!

Chinese Tea Appreciation with Yunjuan He, Qi Cui, Zi Chen, and Xinying Ye from the University of North Georgia in the Hot Spot. Learn about tea culture and how to prepare tea in the traditional way, then taste five types of Chinese tea.

Indian Dance Performance by Darshini Natyalaya School of Indian Classical Dance in the Meeting Room

Library Tours & Scavenger Hunt

Library Tours Depart from Main Lobby
 
Library staff will lead group tours of the library, including a trip behind the scenes, every thirty minutes, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the main lobby. 
 
Scavenger Hunt
 
Pick up a clue sheet from the Ask Us desk, then follow the clues around the library. When you've finished the Scavenger Hunt, return to the Ask Us desk to claim your prize!
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ongoing Activities
 
"Faces of Sharon Forks" Community Craft Project
 
Patrons of all ages are invited to create a self-portrait that will become part of the community art display in the library! To make yours, visit the children's area between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
 
Sign Up for a Library Card
 
Visit any Ask Us desk to open a Forsyth County Public Library
card account.
 
Balloon Twisting
 
Once Upon a Fiesta shares their twisting talents to create balloon art for our young patrons in the children's area from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
 
Board Games
 
Take a break with a game in the Teen Room
between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
 
Breakout Games for Families
 
Arrrggghhhh and shiver me timbers! Work together to solve the clues and rescue our storytime mascot, Marvin the Mouse,
from the pirates! This program is suggested for families with children grades K-5.  
Games begin at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m.,
1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. in Conference Room 1.
 
Breakout Games for Teens
 
Whoa! Work together to uncover Stranger Things-style clues,
break the locks, and stay out of the Upside Down.
This program is suggested for teens grades 6-12.
 
Games begin at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
