Books & Babies Monday, April 4 at 10:15 a.m. Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community. This program is for babies up to 24 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes. Registration is not required.

Batty About Bats Monday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m. Join wildlife educator, Vicky Beckham Smith, and her bat, Robin, for a fun and educational program! Learn all about different bat species, bat myths, and some of the benefits to having bats around! After this program you'll be Batty About Bats, too! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required.

One World Forsyth: Drumming for Success Tuesday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m. Get ready to keep the beat! Children will be able to dance, sing, and drum together in this fun and interactive program as they learn about basic rhythm and percussion with Dr. Arvin Scott. All participants will use a drum and learn some basic drum patterns. Registration is not required. This program is part of the One World Forsyth series and is sponsored by the FCPL Friends & Advocates.

Meet Author and Illustrator Joey Weiser Wednesday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m. “MERMIN the MERMAN from MER!?” Join us at the library to meet illustrator and author of the Mermin graphic novels, Joey Weiser! Learn all about creating graphic novels and comic books in this special interactive presentation. Mr. Weiser will read an excerpt from his Mermin graphic novels, offer a drawing demonstration, and a fun drawing activity! This program is for 3rd-6th grade students.

Join us for a morning of puppet show fun! It’s time for our annual Spring Break Puppetpalooza! Enjoy new puppet shows, old favorites, dancing, singing, and more! All ages are welcome and registration is not required. |

Beekeeping is a fascinating and rewarding hobby for the whole family. Join Master Beekeeper Jay Hendrix to find out what you need in the way of equipment, environment, and time to get started. Children 10 and older welcome with parent/ guardian.

I Like My Stories: A Groovy Pete the Cat Storytime Friday, April 8 at 10:30 a.m. Pete the Cat is visiting the library! We'll be reading our favorite Pete the Cat books, singing songs, and making crafts. Make sure to bring your camera for a special meet and greet with Pete himself! This program is for all ages! Registration is not required.

Watch Caterpillars Grow! Throughout the month of April, you are invited to visit Hampton Park Library and meet our caterpillars! Watch them as they grow, transform, and eventually become beautiful butterflies.
