Dr. Luthman focuses on the history of Early Modern Europe, specifically that of England and the various aspects of love, sex, and marriage during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Dr. Luthman’s book, Love, Madness & Scandal: The Life of Frances Coke Villiers, Viscountess Purbeck, was recently published by Oxford University Press. She is a native of Sweden, who has made Georgia her home long enough to say “y’all” regularly, without even thinking about it.
