It's our fall break puppetpalooza! Join us for our favorite puppet shows, songs, and dancing!  All ages welcome and no registration required.
 
Kids Knit at 1:30 p.m.                                                   
Learn to finger knit and create some colorful and creative projects especially for kids that you can keep!  Yarn will be provided.  Just bring your fingers!  This program is recommended for kids ages 9 – 12.  Please register here to attend.

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development.  This 30 minute storytime introduces a love for books, music, movement, rhythm, and rhyme.  Improve motor, sensory, and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and their caregivers to socialize.  Registration is recommended for this program, as class size is limited. It's movie time at the Cumming  Library!  Bring a pillow and popcorn to our meeting room and enjoy a family feature on the big screen.  Our featured movie selection is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. All ages welcome and no registration required.
 
Family PJ Storytime at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate everybody's favorite art material -- the crayon!  We'll read stories about our favorite colorful crayon heroes, make crayon art, and crayon crafts -- you can even come dressed in your favorite crayon color, head to toe, for our color parade!  This program is for all ages and registration is not required.

Join us at Hampton Park Library for Movies at The Park!  Bring your chairs, blankets, coolers, and settle in to enjoy a classic family film!  Today's movie is Jumanji.  When two kids find and play a magical board game, they release a man trapped for decades in it and a host of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game.  Rated PG; Approximately 104 minutes long.  No registration required.
 
Parachute Games at 3:00 p.m.                                 
Do you love playing with the parachute?  Do you wish you could have an entire afternoon filled with music and parachutes and fun!?  Head over to the library and join us!  In this special program we will play our favorite parachute games and activities.  This program is suggested for children, ages 4-8.  Please register here to attend.

Hanuman the Hero: Puppetry of Indonesia and Other Cultures at 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate One World Forsyth in this amazing puppet performance and workshop. Learn all about the puppetry tradition of Indonesia and other Asian cultures in Mr. Damon’s interactive puppet show. Then make your own Indonesian Hanuman the Monkey puppet! This program is for children ages 5 and up. Registration is requested.

Let's build something together!  Playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child's cognitive learning and social skills!  Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime.  You bring your creativity, we'll provide the rest!  All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

Come celebrate Spanish culture with a very interactive performance of the classic children's tale The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf. Professional Flamenco dancer Julie Bagenstoss will introduce children to the vibrant music and moves of Flamenco dancing. Afterward, join us for Spanish crafts. Join us for crafts and magical fun at our Strange Magic Movie Party from 1:15 to 2:00. Is there a young Indiana Jones at your house?  Explore the past at Post with a visit from the awesome Abby the ArchaeoBus, the mobile command center for the Society for Georgia Archaeology! Check out many hands-on displays and let your kids become detectives about the past inside the bus and at multiple stations set up in the parking lot! There will be exhibits, puzzles, trivia, crafts and more!  No registration required.
 
Journey to the Center of the Earth at 3:15 p.m.
On a quest to find out what happened to his missing brother, a scientist, his nephew, and their mountain guide discover a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth.  With Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, and Seth Meyers. Rated PG.  No registration required.

Fire Truck Visit with the Forsyth County Fire Department at 11:00 a.m.                     October is Fire Safety Month! Come meet some real firefighters, get a firefighter hat and learn about fire prevention and safety for your family this fall! Due to weather, the fire safety house will not be at the library. There will be other indoor crafts and activities to entertain your children in the meeting room! All ages welcome and no registration required.

Hunters in the Sky at 2:00 p.m.
Join the Chattahoochee Nature Center as we learn about raptors, some of Georgia's most interesting native predators.
