Books & Babies Monday, April 3 at 10:15 a.m. Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community. This program is for babies up to 24 months old, with a parent or caregiver. Registration is not required.

Elephant and Piggie Go to Hogwarts Monday, April 3 at 2:30 p.m. Join us for a wonderful storytime filled with our favorite friends: Elephant and Piggie! They're going to kick off our awesome Harry Potter week with a visit to ... Hogwarts! We'll read books, make wizard crafts, and even get to meet Elephant and Piggie themselves! Get ready for a wonderful time!
All ages are welcome. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Please arrive early to secure your spot.

Shakespeare 4 Kids Presents The Taming of the Shrew Tuesday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. Celebrate Shakespeare in this child-friendly adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew, presented by the Atlanta Shakespeare Company! In a fast paced, high-energy performance, puppets and live music will bring this Shakespeare classic to life!
This program is for children, ages 5 & up. Registration is not required, but space is extremely limited. Admission tickets will begin being handed out 30 minutes prior to the show.

Movies at The Park: Labyrinth Wednesday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. Come watch some of our favorite fantastic beasts on the big screen! Bring your chairs, blankets, snacks, and settle in to enjoy this classic family film! About Labyrinth: A 16-year old girl is given 13 hours to solve a labyrinth and rescue her baby brother when her wish for him to be taken away is granted by the Goblin King. Rated PG; 101 minutes. Harry Potter Extravaganza Thursday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m. Join us for a Harry Potter afternoon of wizarding fun! Play Quidditch, create your own wand, and brew some potions just like Harry and his friends in J. K. Rowling's famous book series! Come in costume! Wear your house colors!
This program is for children in grades K-5. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Please arrive early to secure your spot. We will begin to hand out tickets 30 minutes before the program.

Growing Young Minds: Magical Creatures Edition Friday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for a morning of learning through play! Help your child get school ready with fun activities to promote early learning and development. Each month we will offer a variety of early literacy, STEAM, music and hands-on early learning station activities. These programs focus on school readiness as well as social and cognitive development. This program is suggested for children ages 3-5, with a caregiver.

Special Needs Library Hour and Sensory Storytime Saturday, April 8 starting at 9:00 a.m. Join us every second Saturday for a special hour of library time designed to accommodate our patrons with special needs. We will open our doors an hour early so that you will have a warm and welcoming environment designed just for you! Browse the library, check out your favorite books, movies, and CDs, and participate in our special Sensory Storytime, which is specifically designed for children with special needs. Registration is not required for this program. Please contact Hampton Park Library if you have any questions, 770-781-9840 ext. 6709. Please note: The library will be open early for patrons with special needs and their families. If you or your family do not meet these requirements, please visit us during our normal operating hours. Fantastic Fun and Where to Find It for Teens Tuesday, April 4 at 3:30 p.m. Teens, it's Harry Potter at Hampton Park Week! Come to our Fantastic Fun celebration of all things Potter. Wear your best Wizarding costume, if you like. Let the Sorting Hat tell you your house, make your own wand, play Quidditch, and try your hand at Potions. But be on the lookout for He Who Must Not Be Named! This program is for teens, grades 9-12. Check our program calendar for other Harry Potter programs designed for other ages.
