We are over a month into this pandemic and it's weird, worrying, sometimes boring and often lonely. It's hard to know how to feel or what to do during this time.
It's strange not going into our regular haunts every day. It's easy to think that everything has just stopped. BUT there's so much great stuff happening throughout the community from online learning opportunities through local organizations, our local businesses finding safe and different ways for us to access their services, and the local people and groups working hard to support those who are isolated and vulnerable.
We have lots going on too! Since we can't invite you into the library, we wanted to invite you to take a peek at what's happening online at the library and behind the scenes.
Sometimes we just need to get silly like we did in this Facebook post where we asked you to add "with toilet paper" to the end of the book title you're reading.
And we would love to hear what you're doing. Have you settled into a new routine, thrown habits (both good and bad) out the window? Have you discovered a new favourite TV show, podcast or book genre?
Just hit reply and let us know. Our doors are closed for now, but we are still here and love having conversations with you, but those conversations just have to happen on social media, by email or over the phone right now.
Are you ready to access our online library, but feel intimidated to get started? Please call us at 250-352-6333 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you get set up!
