As of July 7, 2020, the Radium Library reopened our building to the public with a modified service structure.
During this stage of reopening, we are offering limited on-site services with reduced service hours. Access to the building is restricted based on occupancy limits.
We encourage patrons to schedule their shelf browsing or computer appointments in advance to guarantee availability. Call or email to book your appointment.
We understand that appointments are not ideal for everyone; patrons without appointments can choose to use our doorbell, or "Book Bell" service to inquire about immediate availability. Odds are there won't be much of a wait! Click here for more information about our current service structure.
No seating or washrooms available at this time. Max 30 minute visits recommended
Current Service Hours (Modified)
Tuesday - Friday: 11:00am - 3:00pm
Saturdays: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Curbside Pickup for Hold Requests
We will continue to offer curbside pickup for hold
requests during service hours for the foreseeable
future. Patrons can call, email or place a hold on our

you to arrange a pickup time. When picking up your
items, ring the "Book Bell" and we will bring them out
to the Pickup Table.
Grab & Go Children's Programming
During this stage of our reopening, we will be offering grab & go kits in place of our regular annual programs.
On Saturday September 12 & 26, ring the bell during service hours to pick up fun Fall themed Grab & Activities
Kootenay Teen Book Club (Online)
A copy of Airborn will be available for Teen Book Club members at the Radium Library. First come first serve for holds!
Kootenay Book Club for Adults (Online)
Join other book lovers from across the region to discuss books by local authors. The first book we'll be discussing is The Wild Heavens by Nelson writer, Sarah Butler. We want to thank all of our wonderful patrons for being so understanding during these uncertain and unusual times! Our service structure might look a little different, but we are still here to serve you as best as we can!
