Happy National Library Week! This year's theme is "Welcome to your library!" Throughout the challenges our communities have faced since last year, Athens Regional Library System branches have gone above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding resources and continuing to meet patrons’ needs. The local library system provides electronic learning resources like online homework help through tutor.com available at athenslibrary.org, and wi-fi access for students and workers who may lack internet access at home. It also offers a large online collection of downloadable e-books, e-audiobooks and digital magazines, language learning software, research databases, virtual events and classes for all ages, and so much more!
The library needs the support of volunteers to fully serve the community. There are many ways to volunteer with your local library including joining the Friends of the Library, taking a leadership role on the Friends’ board, and applying for positions on your county’s library Board of Trustees. Call your local library for details.
