Read for Change: Social Justice Book Club for Kids Children ages 6-12 can explore social justice topics that impact their daily lives through children’s literature. Each month one of our librarians will read aloud children’s books on that month’s social justice topic (e.g. celebrating diversity, gender, equity, disability). After the book readings, we will discuss the month’s social justice topic as a group. This will be followed by an activity related to the reading.
This is a hybrid event. We will have limited in-person as well as virtual options. Registration is required.
This month we will be reading and discussing Dreamers by Yuyi Morales on October 8th at 3:00 pm.
