Summer Reading Challenges, for the Fun of It School kids don’t have all the fun though, for the first time, we are offering online summer reading programs for all ages. For adults and teens, join in the reading challenge 10 to Try in which you challenge yourself to read 10 things you might otherwise not have read. There is a modest prize at the end, but the real prize is expanding your horizons and sharing your thoughts with others by writing online reviews. Kids too can join an online reading program called Master of Minutes in which they challenge themselves to read 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Register for these two challenges by clicking the Summer Reading button (pictured) on our homepage, falmouthpubliclibrary.org, or register here now.

Greetings from the Youth Services Dept.! While we are serving our patrons through outside pickup, we've also had a little fun decorating the windows. Here is a picture of Lisa, one of our library assistants. She's been creative and clever with window I Spy, and pairing puppets with books to entertain anyone looking in. We've even had some visitors stop by, to wave and admire the cute creatures in the windows. We have really been missing our patrons. But we are enjoying creating the take and make kits. We've explored different subjects on Tuesdays with our STEM Gems, math, biology, even physics! And on Wednesdays we have our Krafty Kids kits. These are more simple crafts for younger children. The Minute to Win it Family Challenges will continue on Fridays through the end of August.
