National Library Week
Welcome to Your Library!

April 4-10, 2021 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The theme for this year’s National Library Week is “Welcome to your library,” which promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building and that everyone is welcome to use their services.

The Meherrin Regional Library System is serving the community during these difficult times with services such as locker pickup for holds, self-checkout machines, and increased digital materials. The Library has also installed Wi-Fi extenders so that our free Wi-Fi is available throughout our parking lot areas.

National Bookmobile Day
April 7 is National Bookmobile Day!

The Meherrin Regional Library System purchased its first bookmobile in 1950 from Brunswick Chevrolet! The bookmobile worked on an eight day schedule, spending four days in each county visiting various schools and communities.
