Welcome to the Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Newsletter! This newsletter will cover new releases in our collection that pertain to your well being - be it physical, financial, mental or emotional. We will notify you of events at the Library and point out items on our website when they relate to these topics too. Occasionally we will feature classic publications that you might not have read and spotlight books, e-books, audio-books and movies that are worth checking out again and again. Our goal is to be fun and informative while keeping you current on your next great reads, (listens or watches) at the Handley Regional Library! NOW...….. Although we are anxious to talk about what's new in the catalog, it seems more useful and timely to explore our digital offerings. Through Hoopla, Blue Ridge Download Consortium, and RB digital we will highlight items you might find worth a look while we are all staying safe and staying home.

This is an e-audiobook "While our language trumpets what our bodies know - "gut feelings," hearts that "reach out" to others - many of us have learned to ignore, deny, or even mistrust these messages. Even worse, lots of us just don't like our bodies as they are. The result is that when trauma strikes, a time when we need every aspect of our being to master the challenge, we may find ourselves disconnected from our greatest strengths. Scurlock-Durana, who has spent thirty years studying the gifts of the body and teaching thousands how to reclaim them, began to recognize this strength, which she likens to a GPS, when she herself experienced a life-threatening trauma. Fortunately, and as the author's techniques show, the body's abilities are always available; we must simply learn to tune into them"
