Earth Day 50 Kickoff Today is Earth Day! The 50th anniversary of Earth Day in fact. Typically this annual event would include lots of in-person events, lectures, festivals--but alas.... so for 2020 the Earth Day Initiative organized a virtual event called Earth Day Live featuring a three-day livestream (beginning today) where millions of people can join activists, celebrities, musicians--including figures like Pope Francis, Al Gore, Bill Nye, and more--in an online moment of community and hope for the future. You can also find the complete Earth Day 50 Virtual Kickoff Event that took place on Sunday on Facebook.
