Yum!  The recipes for May look delicious!

They include Holy Guacamole, Penne ala Vodka with Shrimp, Asiago Cheese Bread, and Fontina Cheese and Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken Marsala.  Recipes and instructional videos are available on our website.

Read to a Dog

Spider and Trouble, the chihuahua therapy dogs, will visit.  Children may read to them or just enjoy their company.  This is a drop-in event.
Spring Tea Party

Redacted Poetry - Star Wars style!!

May the Fourth (Force) be with you!  Join us in doing some Star Wars "redacted poetry" -- we'll take the pages (copied, of course!)  from some Star Trek novels, and create our own poems by crossing out the words we don't want!  Snacks and supplies provided.

Make Your Own Mystery

The Friends of the John Curtis Library are excited to invite everyone to a fun interactive workshop called Mystery in the Making presented by Sisters in Crime NE. Four mystery authors representing four sub genres, including cozy/traditional & thriller/suspense, will brainstorm on their feet to create a brand new mystery using suggestions provided by the audience.  Authors participating are Louisa Clerici, Capers, Crooks and Kitchens,  A Feast of Mystery and Magic; Leslie Meier, Lucy Stone Mysteries; Sharon Ward, In Deep; and Frances McNamara, historical mysteries in Chicago and Boston.

May 20th will be our last Saturday open for the summer.  Saturdays will resume on September 9th.
