Carolyn Timbie, granddaughter of Grace Banker, Chief Operator of the first unit of 33 Hello Girls, will provide an introduction and Q & A. Copies of the DVD will be available for purchase. CPL Main - 45 Green St. - Library Auditorium The first mountain climbing cog railway in the world will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2019. Jon Hively worked for the railway as fireman, brakeman and engineer for 13 years. He will share his many adventures and discuss his book, My Life on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. Needle Felt a Merry MouseTuesday, 11/19 at 6pm CPL Main - 45 Green St. - Library Auditorium Needle felting gets merry! With warm scarves around their necks and a couple of snowballs in their paws, these merry mice will be ready for playing in the snow. Materials provided. Teens age 13 and older are welcome as long as an adult is present and helping. Limited to 20 participants.

Sarah Josepha Hale, a New Hampshire author and writer of the nursery rhyme “Mary Had a Little Lamp,” successfully campaigned for the establishment of Thanksgiving as a national holiday in 1863. Her first book, The Genius of Oblivion, was published in 1823 and can be found in the Concord Room. For more information, visit the Concord Room, CPL’s historic archive, anytime the library is open.
