Now available: Tech2Go Kits for Kids! Each kit includes a CIPA compliant Chromebook, WiFi Hot Spot and carrying case. These kits are available for a 3-week checkout for kids and teens ages 5-17 (adults, we have hot spots and laptops for you, too!) History Readers Book Club Thursday, August 12, 6:00 pm-7:00 pm Join San Leandro History Museum staff for a virtual book club for adults on the Second Thursday of the month. We welcome adult readers to join us to discuss historic fiction or your current reads of any genre, and to get/give some reading recommendations.

On View at the Main Library: Koinobori/Fish Kites English learners at San Leandro High School partnered with Sequoia Foundation for a Project-Based Learning unit on fish toxicity. After studying the topic in depth, they created these striking koinobori, or fish kites, in English and Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Tigrinya, Tagalog and Yoruba, to help raise awareness in their communities about potential harm from mercury build up in fish. The fish kites are on display at the Main Library, 300 Estudillo, during the Library's open hours.
