Grow With GoogleOn Wednesday, July 19, 2019, a Grow with Google event was hosted at the Carson City Library. Community members were invited to attend free workshops focused on reaching customers and promoting businesses online as well as tips for job searching. One-on-one coaching was also available throughout the day. Google has partnered with the American Library Association (ALA) to offer free Grow with Google workshops in all 50 states this year. In conjunction with the Western Nevada College Jack C. Davis Observatory, the Carson City Library, and the Carson City Classic Cinema Club the Nevada State Museum will be presenting a variety of hands on and multimedia opportunities for youth of all ages. In the parking lot there will be solar telescopes, an impact crater experience, a seltzer rocket demonstrations, balloon powered rocket car building and testing, and an augmented reality experience focused on planets, asteroids, the Moon and more.
