Teen Volunteers Needed for Summer 2023!*
The Maitland Public Library wants YOU to volunteer for the library.
 
In addition to earning hours, teen volunteers will:
  • Assist with program setup and takedown
  • Assist with craft preparation
  • Organize library books
  • Write book reviews
  • Learn new skills and make friends
*Must be ages 14-17 to qualify.
Youth Programming
LEGO Free Build: Dream House
Tuesday, May 2, 4:30pm
Calling all LEGO fans! We provide the bricks and you use your imagination to create whatever you want or design based on our monthly theme. 
Fresh for Kids: Fruit Salad
& Strawberry Slush

A hands-on cooking class to learn recipes you can replicate at home! Limit 30.

Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe
Monday, May 15, 10:30am
Join Profesora Jamie for a bilingual story time where you will sing, do a craft, and listen to books read in Spanish and English. For children of all ages.
Sensory Story Time
Friday, May 26, 10:30am
Sensory activities, stories, songs, and puppet show to help support children with special needs' literacy development.
Preschool Palooza
Tuesdays, 10:30am
Ages 3 to 5. Stories, songs, puppet show, and movement activities to help support preschoolers' literacy development. Preschool Palooza is followed by a craft. Recommended for children with developed language.
Toddler Tales
Wednesdays, 10:30am
Ages 1 to 3. Stories, action rhymes, songs, puppet show, and movement activities to help support toddlers’ literacy development. Recommended for walkers.
Baby Babbles
Thursdays, 10:30am
Ages birth to 12 months. Introduce your baby to stories, songs, and rhymes, carefully selected to foster your child’s development. Recommended for lapsitters and crawlers.
Adventures with Books Homeschool Group
Thursdays, 1pm; through May 18
An enrichment program geared towards homeschooled children (grades K-8) run by local moms. Sessions will be hybrid (in-person and virtual options available) and will be recorded for those who cannot attend live.
