Grundy Library and Museum Campus Update
Construction on the rooftop and eastside grounds created a new task for Grounds Staff. “What can we save and where do we replant it?” became our mantra these last few months.
Existing plant materials were replanted in new or existing beds on the river level campus from north to south. Their lush color, greenery, and sweet fragrances are eagerly anticipated this spring and summer. Relocated benches on the river level will provide a bird’s eye-view of the anticipated landscaping magic as it unfolds.
Not to be outdone, the parking lot boasts a new welcoming look and is sure to make a great first impression on patrons, visitors, and guests. Towering arborvitaes soften the area around the new generator located at the intersection of Radcliffe and Dorrance Streets, while the existing yellow roses, cone flowers, daisies, and liriope, along with newly-planted hydrangea and lavender are perfect complements to beautification on the eastside of Radcliffe Street.
Our appreciation and congratulations are extended to Staff for their hard work, flexibility, and dedication.
