Years ago the Friends of Hauppauge Public Library was organized to help the Library (HPL) serve our community. Our organization has supplemented HPL's extensive offerings with reading and photography contests, concerts, trips, all sorts of festivals and sales events. Now it is again time for the Friends to choose activities, and we've begun discussing possible programs, such as scholarships, nature walks, opera and historical site trips, social issues speakers, and book sales.
What we really need, though, is for you to tell us your ideas, what you'd really want for you and your family, whether it be at HPL or off-site, free or fee. All we're asking is for you to share your idea(s) by emailing us at hplfriends8@gmail.com.
