Gr. 9-12 Only Friday, October 13, 6:00-7:00pm Interested in the upcoming Battle of the Books for high school students? Join us for the kickoff party! Over the next few months, you’ll read the three official "Battle" books, remember as many details as you can from them, and compete in a fun trivia contest against other Suffolk County libraries for the title of Battle Champs. This year’s titles will be announced October 1st. The practice meetings (TBA) are at the library and the final Battle is Friday, March 23 from 6:00-9:00pm @ Connetquot High School.

Each family will get a copy of the book to keep and will be entered into a raffle to win a gift certificate to see Wonder in the theaters. Refreshments will be served. Grades K-5 All children in grades K-5 are invited to submit an original design for the library’s annual Design a Bookmark Contest. Winning designs will be selected to decorate monthly bookmarks for the upcoming calendar year. Visit the library’s website to print an entry form or pick one up in person. The deadline for all entries is Sunday, October 29, 2017. Winners will be announced in December.
