Tuesday April 10, 2018 from 10am – 9pm Voting will take place at the Hauppauge Public Library. Voting will be for the election of one library trustee and to adopt the library budget for the period from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. You may vote in the library election if you are: (1) at least 18 years of age (2) a citizen of the United States (3) a resident in the library district for 30 days; and (4) registered to vote (you are already registered if you have voted during the last four years in any general, school district or library election.) Voter Registration: Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Library (Only required if you have NOT voted in a general, school district or library district vote during the last four years). Absentee Ballots: Absentee ballot applications are available and may be picked up at the library’s check out desk.

Sunday, February 11 - Saturday, February 17 Help your neighbors with a special community service initiative for the week of Valentine's. Hauppauge Library cardholders who owe fines on Hauppauge items may donate non-perishable food/toiletries in exchange for the waiver of fines. Fines will be waived at the rate of one item per $1.00 owed (excluding replacement fees). All donations will go to Long Island Cares.

CHILDREN: SNOW IS FALLING, BOOKS ARE CALLING Ages Birth to Grade 5 Sign up begins on Saturday, December 2 and reporting begins on Tuesday, December 26. The first fifty children to sign up will receive a free ticket to the family performance, The Magical Toy Shop, at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre in Oakdale. Record the books you read on your reading chart. Each week you can select a prize from our treasure chest. The reading club runs through Friday, February 9. Join us for an ice cream party on Friday, February 16 at 6:30pm for anyone who participated in the reading club.
