Want to vote in this year's presidential election?
If you can't make it to the polls, or prefer to vote by mail:
You can request an absentee ballot online. Be aware that if you applied for an absentee ballot in June you must reapply for the November election. Electronic ballot requests must be transmitted no later than October 27, 2020. The library also has absentee ballot request forms at the Circulation Desk. Forms must be postmarked no later than October 27, 2020. Voters may apply for absentee ballots in-person at the Board of Elections as late as November 2, 2020.
The Board of Elections now has to notify voters within 24 hours of receipt of an absentee ballot if there is a problem (e.g. no signature). Absentee ballots should be sent in early so that problems can be corrected in time for your vote to count.
Ready to vote and want to vote early?
Early voting begins Saturday, October 24, 2020 and ends Sunday, November 1, 2020. You can find early voting sites here. Registered Suffolk County residents may vote in-person at any early voting location during any of the scheduled days and times.
