#STANDUP4HUMANRIGHTS Human Rights Day is observed every year on December 10th – the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This year, Human Rights Day marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being -- regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Visit the PC library during the month of December to view our display that highlights the significance of human rights worldwide.

Help Our Students Avoid PlagiarismAs you start planning for next semester, please consider adding a plagiarism tutorial into your Canvas course to help students learn how to recognize plagiarism as well as techniques for avoiding it. PC Library and English Faculty adapted a Canvas plagiarism module, originally created by SFU Library, for Phoenix College students. The tutorial takes about 30 minutes to complete and includes sample citations and three short quizzes to test for understanding. This video explains how to upload the module from Canvas Commons into your course. For questions, please contact Ann Roselle.
