Kanopy & RBdigital Streaming Ending Over the next two months, Mary Riley Styles Public Library will discontinue its subscriptions to Kanopy and Rbdigital streaming video. These services will end on the following dates: - May 14: AcornTV
- May 20: All other Rbdigital streaming content – including Great Courses, IndieFlix, and Qello Concerts
- June 30: Kanopy
The library initially offered Kanopy and RBdigital video streaming services in response to public interest and the desire to provide additional e-resources while operating out of a smaller temporary location during our renovation and expansion project. Although these streaming services are “free” to our library card holders, each time they are used the library actually incurs a charge. This per use billing model makes budgeting for these services extremely difficult to control, particularly at a time when the library’s operating budget is flat due to COVID-19. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to focus on maintaining and expanding our core services and programs including physical materials, eBooks/eAudiobooks, eMagazines and more.
