Hey Kids! Grab some Japanese Pop Culture At Teen AnimeFEST Anime and manga are two wildly popular forms of Japanese comic strip art, drawn for print and animation. Teen fans flock from all across the Valley to attend this awesome, one-of-a-kind, annual event, filled with friends, live music, tons of information about new trends, and of course, food trucks to fuel the fun. The event takes place Saturday, September 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sahara West Library. Seffarine Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Vibes At a Seffarine show, founding members Lamiae Naki sings in Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, and French; and Nat Hulskamp captivates audiences with his unique guitar style. Internationally renowned bassist Damian Erskine brings a soulful groove, while master percussionist Bobak Salehi keeps the rhythm strong, and Manuel Gutierrez wows with flamenco footwork. Summerlin Library Fall Festival Features Yummy Food, Craft Vendors, a Book Sale & More Enjoy live music, food, pumpkin-decorating, face painting, up close magic, balloon artists, stilt animals, plus craft vendors and a Foundation book sale to get a jump on your holiday gift list.
