If you're feeling unwell, please wait to visit us, or look into using our no-contact curbside services.
Practice physical distancing while in a library, and know that we'll be limiting the number of visitors inside at one time.
Need a public computer? Spaces will be open with time limitations and physical distancing.
Is it really spring without Book-a-Bikes? Bikes will be available for checkout (and are sanitized between uses).
No in-person programs--yet! *See our grab-and-go + virtual program offerings through the "Events" tab on our homepage. As soon as it's safe to offer in-person programming countywide, we will!
Some library activities and services continue to be suspended:
These include volunteer activity, public meeting room use, notary services, and book donations/book sales.
Curbside Services will continue to be an option for anyone,
and yes, Saturday hours are BACK!

Library Advocacy Week Moves Online
Has your local library helped you through this past year
Funding and support for public libraries helps communities and individuals connect and thrive, now more than ever.
2020 was a challenging year to say the least, but Ohio’s public libraries proved again and again that they are resilient, strong and adaptable.
We'll celebrate YOUR local libraries this week through re-introductions
on social media to all 7 of our locations, highlighting some of the ways we serve our communities. We hope you'll join us!
Gearing Up for Bookmobile Adventures
We've designed a 3D Bookmobile model!
As we get ready to welcome the real ACPL Bookmobile with art by Kevin Morgan onto Athens County roads, pick up a 3D model kit at your local branch to make your own miniature version!
If you want, you can send us pictures of where your Bookmobile visits and what adventures it has! We'll share these photos on social media. Email your photos to blachman@myacpl.org, or tag @MyACPL on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Upcoming Food Programs This Month
Look for Take-and-Bake programs in April through our branch in The Plains,
along with a new Cookbook Club hosted by our Athens location
(with a key ingredient always provided for free).
And don't forget about the "FEAST at Home" monthly meal kit
grab-and-gos in Nelsonville AND Coolville! (*available/open to anyone)
All these food-related programs and more can be found
here on our events calendar, or ask for more info at your local library.
A Spring Tradition Continues,
Thanks to Community Food Initiatives
Stop by your local library starting the week of April 12 for a grab-and-go garden starter kit from Community Food Initiatives, featuring easier-to-grow veggies like beans, spinach, corn, summer squash, peas, and sunflowers. Each kit will also include educational materials about how to grow plants successfully, plus recipes for utilizing produce.
Grab-and-go garden starter kits will be available at all ACPL locations
while supplies last (Additional seeds will be available
at all locations except Nelsonville.)
