Ballot Initiatives on the November ballot are sometimes a surprise to the voters. Come to this forum to learn about each ballot initiative including a vote for a County Law & Justice Center, and to make the elected positions in Gallatin County nonpartisan, with no party affiliation declared.
Representatives from both sides of each initiative will present their issue and take questions.

Vanessa Chavarriaga and David Buth will give a presentation on best practices for living with grizzlies, and special guests will share stories and answer questions about their experiences living in grizzly country.
Celebrate National Fossil Day with the help of the Museum of the Rockies on Wednesday, October 16 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Library. Lots of hands-on dinosaur and fossil activities and games for budding paleontologists!
Kids are invited to create a Calder Stabile (like a mobile, but stable!) on Friday, October 18 with instructors from the Bozeman Art Museum in two free workshops. Kids in grades K-2 can sign up for 10:30-12 and grades 3-5 sign up for 1-2:30pm in the large Community Room. All materials will be provided.

Dr. Cathy Whitlock will discuss the findings of the 2017 Montana Climate Assessment and other reports, and share some of the feedback she's received talking with groups across the state about climate change. Dr. Whitlock looks forward to a lively Q&A as we try to understand this urgent issue and what it means for us and for our children.
