Home Composting Workshop Monday, 9/16 @ 6:00 PM With YES Compost and Gallatin County Solid Waste Division, we are hosting a home composting workshop! The presentation will address the science and the art of home composting. We will discuss strategies to deal with some of the common issues with composting, and have examples of compost in various stages.
Women and Islam Wednesday, 9/18 @ 6:30 PM Join Dr. Ira Jaafar, a visiting scholar in Human Ecology from the University of Putra Malaysia, as she shares what it is like to be a Muslim woman with the Bozeman community. Farshina Nazrul, PhD student from Bangladesh also presenting. This lecture focuses on an overview of Islam as a religion, and will provide many opportunities for questions and comments.

Our Crafternoon series continues in September! In honor of Banned Books Week, we are making up-cycled book journals out of banned books! Just kidding, we don't promote censorship; these books are well loved and ready for their next adventure as journals. Registration required.

Join the Friendliest Book Club in Montana! The Bozeman Public Library Book Club meets the third Tuesday of the month (September – May), 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, in the 2nd floor Board Room. This book club reads mostly new adult fiction, with a yearly YA title and yearly biography or memoir. September's selection is Lori Gottlieb's memoir Maybe You Should Talk To Someone. Copies of this book are available at the second floor help desk.
The Great Books & Classic Literature Discussion Group meets the third Saturday of each month (except December) from 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM in the second floor Board Room. Reading selections focus on classic literature; September's selection is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
The Montana Racial Equity Project Book Club meets the fourth Tuesday of every month (except December), 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, in the small Conference Room. Reading selections for this book club include mostly nonfiction about social justice and issues affecting people of color and minorities.
Readers ages 8 and up are invited to talk about the selected book chosen by the group. This book club meets in the Student Corner of our Children's Room. Title is currently being decided; call 582-2404 for selected title after September 1.
