From 6:00 pm on May 2nd to 6:00 pm on May 3rd you can donate online here or visit our donor lounge at the Library in person on May 3rd! All in person donors will receive a free used book courtesy of The Friends of the Library. On Give Big Day, we can all come together as champions for our Library!

Artwork from The Compassion Project will be on display in the Bozeman Public Library’s Atrium Gallery May 1 through June 30, 2019. The library display is part of an over 6,000-piece installation across Bozeman at 5 different locations. Viewers of the exhibit at all locations can learn more about the individual pieces and read the artist’s statement by downloading The Compassion Project’s mobile app. App users can enter the number tagged on each block to get to more information. The mobile app was created by MSU students in the Software Factory.

Special Storytimes Moms and caregivers can enjoy a free massage on Thursday, May 9 during our morning Books & Babies program from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM... a Mother’s Day gift in advance! Read Sing Play Storytime on Friday, May 17 at 10:15 and 11:15 AM presents “Going to the Doctor” features Dr. Courtney Handlin from Acorn Pediatrics. Join us for stories and activities for preschoolers about what happens at the doctor’s office. Thursdays, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Chess Club is back during the week! Longtime chess mentor Travis Kidd will host Chess Club for kids of all ages on Thursday afternoons beginning May 9 from 3:00 PM -5:00 PM. The Club will mostly meet in the small Conference Room, but will also use the Community Room and the Teen Study Room when necessary. A boy who loves baseball must get past his hard-working immigrant parents--and the rhino in the outfield--to become a batboy in this funny middle grade novel. Thursday, May 16 5:00 -7:00 PM Curious about role playing games? Want to try your hand at playing Dungeons & Dragons, or just needed some help with game basics? Come roll up a character or try out our collection of board games, challenge your friends to retro video games, or just come hang out and eat some snacks! Grades 6 and up for participants.

4:00 - 5:15 PM Even though summer is right around the corner, we need our best Teen Advisors to help brainstorm ideas for events in the Fall! Teen Advisory Group is a great way to gain community service hours while also making the Library a place that teens can enjoy too. Hang out and enjoy tasty snacks! Ages 14 and up.

Saturday, May 25 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Come practice a new skill- sewing! This class will be making pillowcases with french seams. Materials are provided. This class is great for beginners, but a basic knowledge of sewing is helpful! Registration is required on our website.

Do you love Bill Murray like we love Bill Murray? We love him so much we're starting a movie club around his body ... of work! Every other month, we'll be watching scenes from a Bill Murray classic and discussing the film! This works like a book club- watch the movie on your own, and meet up to discuss! The May pick is the 1998 film Rushmore.
