We are providing phone and email support for your library account, library digital content and other needs. We may run into problems that cannot be solved remotely but we will do our best.
Call 913-682-5666 Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or send an email during those hours to helpdesk@lvplks.org.
Library cards that expire in 2020 have been updated to expire on the same date in 2021. If your card expired before 2020, the Library will renew a library card over the phone during our new service hours. Callers must be able to confirm some identification information.
The Library’s book drop is open for return of all materials, no matter what format. If an item is too large to fit, please keep it until we re-open. Nothing will be due before 5/20. FYI–we have not charged fines for a year.
The current stay-at-home order expires on April 24. If that changes, our schedule will follow suit. We may have to delay opening at least a day no matter what date is cleared. There are almost 1,000 books on carts now and we have only been closed for a week and a half.
We are excited to announce the addition of a new digital resource for Leavenworth Public Library cardholders beginning April 1! Kanopy has 30,000 movies, documentaries, Indie films, children’s programs (Kanopy Kids), music and The Great Courses.
Leavenworth Public Library cardholders can borrow four items per month. Information on how to access this new resource will be posted on our website on April 1 as well as in a special edition of this newsletter.
New hoopla Limit
Effective 3/25/2020, the Library has increased the number of items our hoopla users can borrow from 9 to 12 per month. We hope this helps everyone enjoy better access and expanded service during the current mandated shutdown.
