We’re so happy that we can offer Curbside service now to help get you the books and movies that you’ve been waiting for, but don’t forget that you always have 24/7 access to RBdigital, Overdrive & Libby, Tumblebooks , Freegal, and so many more online resources with your library card. And we know that many of you look forward to the Library’s Summer Reading Program, not only to bridge the reading gap between school years, but as a fun and free source of activities. This summer is unlike summers past. Beaches and parks will undoubtedly be visited regularly, but the familiar respite of gathering in our libraries to create, read, listen, and socialize isn’t on the weekly summer to-do list this year. If there is one thing that librarians are good at, it’s adapting. So, with READsquared, the summer reading program is online in 2020. Children, teens, and adults can register and log reading, play online mini-games, write book reviews, and complete simple challenges to earn points in the online program from June 22 – August 15. We’ll be adding videos to our YouTube channel, featuring ACLS staff, who miss reading stories and making crafts with you in person. Each library will also be doing special things on their own including making take-home kits with crafts, providing giveaways, and more. Contact your local branch to see what they have in store for you. Let’s make the best of it!

Once you've earned enough points you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share! Applies to all ages. |
