Who would have thought we would get to the end of August, and we still are not much further along with covid than we were at the beginning of the summer? It has been a slog, and we are going through it right along with you. At the library, we are trying to think of ways we can bring some kind of normal to our not normal situation. We are happy to see so many of you using our curbside service. We are trying our best to bring the library to you, just outside of our little space. Curbside pickup is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 4:00 with some evening pick-up spots available Wednesday and Thursday evenings until 8:00 PM. We are also working with the Town of Dighton to create a comfortable space at Old Town Hall to provide public Internet and computer services. We are currently waiting for furniture to arrive, and like many products in the covid-era, we try to be patient for their arrival. We are thrilled to see so many families enjoy the story walk at the playground at Town Hall (and hear your stories about it!). For those who haven't tried it, Miss Lorie created a "Choose Your Own Adventure" walk that allows you to go through the path and practice your reading and create your own story. Miss Lorie is also creating craft bags for families to pick up and take home and create. Thank you for all of your support and patience throughout this time!
