Big Ryan's Tall Tales Thursday, July 11th @ 2pm Ryan Racette, otherwise known as "Big Ryan," is coming back to Attleboro! An APL favorite, Big Ryan has been telling stories for over 11 years. His quality show keeps children and adults entertained. Big Ryan’s program includes original stories, puppet play, a bit of music and movement and a whole lot of fun! Sponsored by the APL Board of Trustees.

Fun for Grades 1-4 Monday, afternoons @ 1:30pm Each week, a different activity, many of them relating to science and space, will be offered to elementary school aged kids. July 1 - Animal Signs with Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary July 8 - Outer Space Crafts July 15 - Night Sounds July 29 - 3, 2, 1 Blastoff!: A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 with the Easton Children's Museum.

Summer Storytime Wednesdays, 7/3, 7/10, 7/24 & 7/31 @ 2pm Looking for a way to relax & cool off in the middle of the day? Join Mrs. Brown on Wednesday afternoons for stories! This program is best for kids ages 3-6 years, but everyone is welcome. No need to sign-up, just drop in, enjoy the AC and listen to some stories! Immediately followed by Family Makers.

Family MakersWednesdays, 7/3, 7/10, 7/24 & 7/31 @ 2:30pmWe're offering your family and friends a variety of materials for you to create anything you would like. Each week we'll provide different art supplies and you can spend time painting, making collages, cardboard building and more. NO NEED TO REGISTER—just drop in during the hour and have fun!

Video ClubTuesdays, July 2, 16, & 31 @ 3pmYouth entering grades 5-12 are welcome to join us for video club! No experience necessary. We will be using iPads to create short videos for the library's YouTube page. Registration for each session is required!

Galaxy Jars Wednesday, July 3, 6-7:15pm Youth entering grades 5-12 are welcome to join us for Galaxy Jars! Participants will craft their own galaxy in a jar using cotton balls and GLITTER of course!

Board Game Night Wednesday, July 10, 6-7:30pm Youth entering grades 5-12 are welcome to join us for a board game night!!! A variety of games will be available for use, bring your friends! Be sure to watch for our new board game collection on the 2nd floor! Please register so we know who's coming.

Great Decisions Meets weekly, Thursdays @ 6:30pm Join us for a civil discussion of 8 timely topics for 2019. No prior knowledge is required to join the conversation. The only requirement is to read the overview in the Great Decisions Briefing Book prior to the weekly meeting. July 11 - Nuclear Negotiations: Back to the Future?July 18 - The Rise of Populism in Europe July 25 - Decoding U.S.-China Trade Registration is required. There is a $32 materials fee payable when you pick up your briefing book. A copy is available for in-library use for participants.

Yarn Lovers' Support Group Monday, July 1 & 15 @ 9:30am Are you a crafty person in search of like-minded crafty folks? Join the Yarn Lovers' Support Group every other Monday morning at the APL for some crafting, chatting, and show and tell. Our group includes knitter, crocheters, weavers, embroiderers and more! Bring your current project along and enjoy the company of the group while you work.

PARKING INFORMATION Due to the construction project on the Sanford St. Garage, the municipal parking lot next to the library will be extremely busy this summer. Please allow sufficient time ahead of events to find parking in the lot or on nearby streets. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Museum Passes Want to get away for the day? The Friends of Attleboro Public Library can help! One of the APL’s most talked about pass locations is the Heritage Museum & Gardens in Sandwich, MA. The largest public garden in southern New England, it sits on 100s of acres and includes indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. Beautiful gardens, an interactive play space, art galleries, auto museum and an indoor carousel are just some of what’s available with the price of admission. The library pass admits, at half off, up to 2 adults (regular price is $20) & 4 youths ages 3-17 (regular price is $10.) Children 2 and under are always free. Visit heritagemuseumsandgardens.org for information on special exhibits & events. Reserve passes yourself online or call the library. One pass per day per library card.

NEW Discount Pass!The APL is now offering a discounted pass to Mystic Aquarium, located in Mystic, Connecticut. The pass gives visitors $4 off admission for up to 4 people. It also offers $15 off a new Family or Grandparent Membership or $10 off a new Individual or Couple Membership. Before reserving this pass, visit the aquarium website as they sometimes offer a bigger discount on admission when you purchase tickets online.

Online Library Bill Paying When paying library fines in person, the Library can accept cash or checks. Paying your bill online allows you to use a credit or debit card. The processing fees patrons pay when paying off their fines or fees with a credit card will increase as of July 1, 2019. The new fee will be $0.85. To view or pay bills online, visit the catalog and sign in to your account.
