Want a book that's creative, innovative, and unlike anything you've read before? Check out Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders, recommended by one of the library’s newest aids, Patti! Lincoln in the Bardo tells the story of an 1862 night, as Abraham Lincoln visits his recently deceased 11-year-old son Willie in a Georgetown cemetery. That night the denizens of the cemetery come to life, in a book that combines historical fiction and a ghost story. Patti says, “The author's style made for a very interesting read and unusual perspective regarding Abraham Lincoln as not only the President but also a parent.” While Saunders' unique approach might take some adjusting to, Patti strongly recommends Lincoln in the Bardo!
