Ongoing Events for Kids
 
STEM Playgroup is back! These sessions feature Science, Technology, Engineering, (Art) & Math-based play for preschoolers. Explore the world around you through everyday activities and stories. Registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome. The Playgroup will meet on the following Mondays at 10:30 a.m.: September 10th, 17th, & 24th and October 1st, 15th, & 22nd. We would like to thank visiting educators from South Shore Family Network for sponsoring these workshops. 
Storytimes offer your toddler the chance to develop important skills as well as a great giggle! Ages 2-5 are invited to Storytimes on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Every week features a fun theme with songs, rhymes, movements, books, and a craft.
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. are Baby Lapsits for ages 6-24 months. Lapsits feature songs, movements, and more you can do with your little one, followed by open playtime.
Grades K – 5 are welcome to come and build with the library LEGOs every month in LEGO Club! LEGO Club is designed to give kids a safe, creative environment in which they can freely build, interact with peers, and express themselves! Each month has a secret theme to encourage creative thinking. This month you can join us on Tuesday, September 11th from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Craft Room.

Story & Craft: Apple Art
Tuesday, September 18th at 4:00 p.m.
Grades K-2 will enjoy a read-aloud of How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World by Marjorie Priceman, then paint a creation with apple halves and slices! Space is limited for this free workshop; please sign up by visiting or contacting the library.
Kids Craft: DIY Pencil Toppers
Tuesday, September 25th at 4:00 p.m.
Grades 2-6 can create a personalized pencil topper with colorful foam and markers. Space is limited for this free workshop; please sign up by visiting or contacting the library.

Teen DIY: Painted Pencil Cases
Thursday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m.
Grades 6-12 can decorate a patterned pencil case with fabric markers and paints. Space is limited for this free workshop; please sign up by visiting or contacting the library.

Scavenger Hunt
Explore the children’s library with our “Add the Aquatics” Scavenger Hunt. After finding all of the hidden clues, turn your answers in for a prize or treat!  All youth are welcome to participate.
