State Rep. Hendricks Office Hours

Community Room Come meet Representative Chris Hendricks at the Library! He will be available on a walk-in basis to all residents from 10 AM - 12 PM. If you have any questions about what’s going on at the State House, concerns about issues in town, or simply want to stop by to introduce yourself, Representative Hendricks is looking forward to meeting you.

The Book Club (ages 12+)

Community Room Stop by the library prior to 11/14 and pick up a copy of "The Absence of Sparrows" by Kurt Kirchmeier, the current read, or order a copy through SAILS. We will discuss the book, enjoy an activity and SNACK at the meeting.

Acushnet Play Group

All families are welcome to join the Acushnet Play Group for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their parents, grandparents or caregivers! This play group is designed for ages birth-5 and their grownup. Follow your child's lead as you explore activities together based on literacy, science, math and social emotional growth; all while engaging with their peers and building their brains! Space is limited, registration is preferred. Registration forms are available at the Library. Sponsored by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement program of PACE Child Care Works, with funding from the MA Department of Early Education and Care; in collaboration with the Acushnet Public Library. Coming in December: Creepy Christmas

Remember the famous Christmas song which goes, “There’ll be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago…”? So what happened to the scary stories? Jeff Belanger brings the spooky back to the yuletide time of year with Creepy Christmas. From the origins of the holiday to the monsters and ghosts that lurk in its shadows, Jeff will take you on a multi-media journey of this haunting holiday!
This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Acushnet Public Library.
