Family Story Time
Wednesdays, 10:30 AM
Community Room
Join us for stories, rhymes and songs on Wednesday mornings, resuming January 15, 2020. For all ages. Also, our partnership with PACE continues in 2020. Please see our online calendar for details on the Play and Learn Together group.
Here are additional ways to engage with your young child in 2020: - It's never too early to begin daily literacy-building activities. You're probably already doing these kinds of things with your child and might not even realize it. On your next visit, stop by the Info Desk and ask for a January 2020 literacy-building calendar. We'll provide one at the beginning of each month throughout the year.
- You can also join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Studies have shown that reading with your child provides a great opportunity for bonding. If you read just one book a night, that's 365 books a year (or 366 books for this leap year!). Keep track of the titles you read with your child and report back to library staff for every 100 books read. Please see Bethany or Dina for more info.
