Early Literacy Tip: Name objects in the world. Comprehension or understanding what a child is reading is just as important as the act of reading. You can build comprehension skills early, even with the littlest child. Create simple games- point to objects and say: "Where are your ears?" then, "Where are my ears?" Follow up by having them point to their own ears- "Where are baby's ears?".
