Dear Readers,
It is hard to believe that it is mid-August already. Time to buy school suppliesand for us here at MML Children's Department to plan story times for the school year. I have a wonderful Newbery winner picked out to read to the older students. It is and "oldie but goodie" as they used to say.
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer with your friends and family and look forward to the joys of fall.
Ms. Robyn
Hello again,
I hope you're all enjoying what's left of your summer breaks. We've been busy here cleaning up after another successful Summer Reading and making plans for the 2018-2019 year.
THANK YOU for making this year's Summer Reading Program a success. We couldn't do Summer Reading without all of your support and participation. We had 339 children register and 216 complete their reading logs. We had a rocking good time this year and enjoyed seeing everyone. Between story times, dance parties, and special events, we hosted 894 children and adults.
Looking ahead to the 2018-2019 year, I think our rocking good time will continue. We'll be starting a Family Art Night once a month with the help of Miss Amanda. I'm super excited to launch our Homework Helpers program that will match older students with younger students as homework buddies. I'm looking forward to exploring the magic of the alphabet, numbers, and colors in story time. I'm still playing Tetris with the Master Schedule, so our Special Events are still a bit up in the air.
Looking forward to seeing you for another great year of children's programming!
Happy Reading,
Miss Jami
