LIBRARY APPOINTMENTS Publishers are releasing their fall lists, and our New Books bookshelves are full! Make an appointment and enjoy the freedom of browsing the shelves. Make a 30 minute appointment by either calling 508.823.1344 or reserving a time online in our Events Calendar. We are limiting capacity at any one time to no more than 5 people, so you'll have space to move about freely. The library is open from 10:00 to 7:00 Monday through Wednesday, 10:00 to 2:00 on Thursday, 10:00 to 5:00 on Friday and 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturday. Curbside delivery continues for those who prefer this option. Call us to pick-up holds curbside.

If you are concerned that items are still listed on your library account after you have returned them, don't be! We are taking extra health and safety precautions by quarantining items for at least 3 days before checking them in and placing them back on the shelves. Due to quarantine, returned items may take several days to clear your account. No fines will be assessed.

Ingredient of the Month - a Cooking ChallengePut your culinary skills to work each month with our mystery ingredient! Pick-up your mystery ingredient from the library, find a recipe (or create your own) and start cooking. We'll meet online on ZOOM to compare recipes and ideas. Register for the October ingredient. You may pick-up the ingredient beginning Wednesday, October 14. We'll meet on Zoom Wednesday, October 21 at 6:30 pm. If you register for a kit, you're automatically registered for the Zoom meeting

Fall Craft to Grab & Go! Pick-up a Grab & Go craft kit to create a fall greeting card. Then join other crafters on November 18 at 6:30, on Zoom to share your creation. We've packaged all supplies for you, and Sue St. Germain has provided instructions. Everything you need for your creation is ready for you. Register for a kit. Call us when you are ready to pick-it-up, and we'll place it in the lobby for you. Kits are available from Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 6. We'll send you the link for our Zoom meeting. If you register for a kit, you're automatically registered for the Zoom meeting.

- Pick up your personalized letter from the library mailbox in the front lobby starting the 3rd Monday of the month. (The letter contains information, questions and activities related to the book).
- Write your own response letter and put it in the library Mailbox Book Club mailbox to receive another letter!

Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Old Colony Get a rare glimpse into the collections storage at the Old Colony Museum with this 1 hour, live presentation (including a question and answer period) of objects not on public view. You'll see a variety of objects both weird and wonderful. Don't miss this unique opportunity. The Old Colony History Museum is home to an extensive collection of regional objects and archives and a research library specializing in local history and genealogy. It’s parent organization, the Old Colony Historical Society, was founded on May 4, 1853, making it one of New England’s oldest historical societies.
