Newspapers, Interlibrary Loans, and Book Drops--OH MY!
Many folks have asked when the Library will reopen its building. Washington libraries may not reopen until Phase 3 as part of Washington’s Phased Approach in the Safe Start Washington Plan.
While continuing in Phase 2, however, we can offer outside services like material returns and Curbside holds pickup, which we’ve been doing for more than two months now. Our Curbside service includes checking out library materials, but also picking up print jobs that you can send to us electronically. There is no charge for small jobs of 10 or fewer pages! Find out how on our website.
Interlibrary Loan is Back!
And now, some exciting news! Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is restarting! Either email email@example.com, call us during Curbside hours (see our website), or place your own interlibrary loan request online at www.sjlib.org, and click on the Interlibrary Loan tab. As we resume this service, we are temporarily limiting loans to one request per person. Check out the ILL webpage for further information on what kinds of items we can borrow for you.
Also, while at Curbside, get your news fix by checking out newspapers for 24-hour loans! We’re offering this brand new service while the building is closed to the public.
Materials Return 24/7
Book return bins are now open 24/7——both the drive-thru return and the one by the front door. Return materials anytime!
I’m looking forward to our next update to introduce you to our new Assistant Director, Lisa Buckton, who is joining us on September 8th all the way from Jericho, Vermont! You might get an early intro during Curbside deliveries!
Warm hellos to all of you from all of us at your Library!
